A family in food since 1909: the group behind Montana
Montana is the frozen-foods arm of the Maamoun Brothers Group, a family business in Egyptian food and agriculture since 1909.
Behind the Montana name is a family that has been in Egyptian food and agriculture for over a century. The Maamoun Brothers Group traces its roots to 1909, and Montana is its frozen-foods arm.
That heritage is the reason Montana controls its supply chain end to end. Sister company DACO supplies the bulk of our raw vegetables and fruit; PILCO produces our custom bags and cartons; and Maamoun Cold Stores handles refrigeration, fleet and logistics. From the soil a crop grows in, to the freezer that holds it, to the truck that moves it, the chain stays inside one family group.
That structure is what lets us promise consistency across 30 countries: there are no anonymous middlemen between the field and the carton, only companies that have worked together for generations and answer to the same name. A century in, the discipline is the same — quality, safety and the long view that only a family business takes.
